This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.
- Forums are back
Ok, we had a backup of the forum, so all was not lost. You may have to rejoin or repost.
- WebGen has a forum now
I don't suppose anybody actually uses WebGen, but it has a forum for any publications, news or the like. It could be used for blogs, I suppose. In fact, this page could be made using WebGen if I had the time to change everything. It would be quite boring however as it would restrict it to text (pictures available only with further work).
- Conversion to PHP
Well, I suck at PHP but at least now the site validates.
- Forum: REAL Forums!!!
Thanks to some help from ictl we now have an up and running forum! http://www.logogames.org/forums is the new forum page. The forums below will be kept for a while but should not be posted to or you risk it being ignored.
- Forum: FMSLogo!
Finally we have a forum for FMSLogo! http://fmslogo.freeforums.org/! Thank you ictl for administration.
- Forum: Reproducer
http://reproducer.freeforums.org is the forum for all Reproducer-concerned questions. Please do not put comments about our other products there.
- WebGen -- A Website generator
WebGen will generate an HTML (or whatever language you please) page and put that on your computer. It is not PHP so once it has been made it is not dynamic. It can then load the generated webpage in Internet Explorer. (Firefox users, I'm sorry. I can't find the command that loads it in Firefox.)
to main
make "test random 6
make "test :test + 1
openwrite "hello.htm
setwrite "hello.htm
print (sentence [
<html>\n
<head>\n
<title>Hello World</title>\n
</head>\n
<body>\n
<p>Hello, World</p>\n
<p>Random Number:] :test [.</p>\n
</body>\n
</html>\n
])
setwrite []
close "hello.htm
end
Make "startup [main]At the moment this does not do a lot, but with some work you can make a few interesting web pages. Note how you must put
\nat the end of each line to ensure that in the generated HTML code there is the correct spacing. (HTML will work without these line breaks but this makes the code easier to debug.) Also note howsentencehas been used. This is to allow LOGO variables to be inserted.- New "Forum" Needed
We need a forum of some sort that does not have spammers... comp.lang.logo is our temporary hideout but we can't stay there forever.
- I'm getting rid of Microsoft Themes
What on Earth are <meta> tags? A waste of time. Bye, FrontPage. I'm still going to use FrontPage to maintain this website, but these themes are going for good.
- Conversion to CSS
After much pressure from surrounding people (including the owners of Foundation Flash, ironically) and the fact that this website was getting too big for its own good, I have begun to convert the formatting to CSS. I also took this opportunity to change a few things around here.
- Forum abandoned
-
Right, abandon the forum. No point in keeping it.
- Intergalactic Civilization 1.4
-
Intergalactic Civilization 1.4 alpha is released. See the Downloads page for further information.
- Forum under attack
-
Our forum has been under attack for some time. Don't bother using it. If you want to contact the admin please email him at jftsang (at) logogames (dot) com. If you have a general LOGO question please go to the USENET group comp.lang.logo or to a LOGO IRC channel.
- Feedback Form doesn't work
-
No, it doesn't. Don't bother using it.
- Possible server bugs
Apologies to everybody who uses the Forum and the Search functions; as I am using Microsoft Frontpage Server Extensions there may be a bug for now. Bear with me. I am in the process of turning it into PHP, which is far better than Frontpage.
- LogoGames.org has new website design
As shown we now have a new website design. This is because the old one sucked so much that visitors nearly died after visiting the site, and others complained.
- LogoGames.org supports Anti-Foundation-Flash
LogoGames.org now officially endorses Anti-Foundation-Flash in the campaign against Foundation Flash just as much as it promotes Korean electronic products over Japanese electronic products. This is ironic as I am currently using a Sony computer to type this in. Anyway, if you are interested in joining the cause against Foundation Flash please send an email to jftsang.
